4. Slam poets take over the Fringe...

THE DREAM CHASERS presents I HATE POETRY: I Hate Poetry catches three of Toronto's top spoken word poets preparing for their first ever Fringe show. Nerves, and an inability to concentrate have made their final rehearsal far from perfect, but they are determined to get it together on time. Through satire, humour, and the tackling of tough subject matter, I Hate Poetry breaks away from the poetry we hated as students, and offers a glimpse into the world of spoken word, offering something for everyone, no matter how they feel about poetry! Check out our event "I HATE POETRY" featuring at the HAMILTON FRINGE FESTIVAL this July 2009.

Originally these 3 spoken word poets united to represent Toronto at the Canadian Festival of Spoken Word; they placed 2nd in the country 2 years in a row (as a 4 person team) and have decided to take their group writing styles and team performance skills to a new level...

The Dream Chasers are Dwayne Morgan, Leviathan and Tomy "BAM BAM" Bewick... Watch here for more info: http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/group.php?gid=21169898710

If you have an event you would like to add, please e-mail ptbopoetryslam@gmail.com.

Have a good summer, cats. See you in September.

Kate.
