Next Round of the Peterborough Poetry Slam and Spoken Open Stage!

On Thursday, April 10th at the Spill, the Next Round of slam and open stage promises to be a good one, with Lebogang Mothibatsela hosting and Meaghan Kelly as the sacrificial poet.

Sign-up at 7:30 and show at 8. Open stage to follow.

Twelve poets in the first round of slam, with six in the second, and the audience's (by which I mean the judges') favourite three poets of the evening reading in a third round. Open sign-up for open stage (may be time-permitting as the Spill has live music for later in the evening.)

A time limit of three minutes is encouraged for each poem, but will not be enforced.

And remember - the points are not the point, the poetry is the point!

Writers of all sorts and styles from seasoned slammers to first-time readers are welcome, as well as curious and supportive spectators. First time readers are especially encouraged to sign-up.

Hope to see you there!
