3) After the Ontario Slamboree happened in Toronto on June 28th, the final results for the Southern Ontario Spoken Word team are in!
From the Peterborough Slam…
Ziy!
Fraser!
Beth Anne!
From the London Slam…
Elyse!
Sook!
This is the stellar team that will represent our communities at the Canadian Festival of Spoken Word in Calgary in the fall. They will be performing with teams of poets from all across the country.
Before they can get there though, they’ve gotta a) practice and b) fundraise. If you have any ideas/opportunities for team performances that could facilitate either or both of these endeavors in Peterborough/London/surrounding areas, please e-mail ptbopoetryslam@gmail.com

Thanks everybody! This premiere season of the Peterborough Poetry slam was a ridiculous success. I hope you all enjoyed it, and I look forward to seeing you in September!

Sincerely,
kate macneill
