Bring two of your best poems to compete for spots on the new Peterborough/London/etc; Slam team! This is an amazing opportunity for poets to perform, travel, meet other poets, and promote poetry in Peterborough and across Canada.
Invite everyone you know in Peterborough, because the Peterborough poets will be representing the city nationally. YOU decide as a crowd and as randomly-chosen audience judges who YOU think should be on the team.

Update June 5th:
The proposal for a Peterborough/London/etc; slam team has been approved by SpoCan (Spoken Word Canada) to attend the Canadian Festival of Spoken Word in Calgary in November 2008!
This means that the top poet from June 12th will automatically get a spot on the team. The next two top poets will go to Toronto on June 28th to compete in the Ontario Poetry Slamboree with poets from London, and other communities to make up the final three spots (two+one alternate).
